Discover Medina Azahara, the majestic palace city built by Abd al-Rahman III in the 10th century and considered one of the most important archaeological sites in Spain. In the company of an official tour guide, you'll walk through its streets, halls, gardens, and most iconic buildings while learning about the history, art, and daily life during the Caliphate of Córdoba.

The visit begins at the meeting point, where you will meet your tour guide and the rest of the group. From there, you'll enter the site to begin a carefully designed tour that will allow you to understand the historical and architectural importance of this UNESCO World Heritage Site.

During the tour, you'll discover iconic spaces such as the Salón Rico, the official offices, and the residential areas, while your tour guide shares entertaining explanations, interesting facts, and the historical context that gave life to this extraordinary city. In addition, you will have an audio guide system to conveniently follow the explanations throughout the visit.

  • When you arrive at Medina Azahara, you should meet the tour guide at the meeting point. The visit begins with an initial stop at the museum of the archaeological site, where you'll spend approximately 30 minutes. In this space, the tour guide will give an introduction to contextualize the history of the site and prepare for the visit.
  • Afterwards, you will take the site's internal shuttle coach (included in the admission ticket), which will take you from the museum to the upper archaeological zone. Once there, the tour guide will continue with the guided visit of the main remains of the complex.
  • At the end of the tour, you will return by coach to the admission area, where the visit will conclude.
  • The site has free parking for both private cars and coaches, so admission is convenient and hassle-free.
  • It is important to arrive early enough to start the experience without delay.
